∑-VCM™

For viruses, chlamydia & mycoplasma

Also for viruses, but also suitable for other respiratory pathogens including mycoplasmas and chlamydia. Suitable for culture but also fully compatible with molecular and POCT platforms. Also suitable for Neisseria gonorrhoeae. VCM medium is also particularly suitable for respiratory viruses including all the strains of Human Influenza A or B, as well as STD’s and enteric viruses. ∑-MM™

The Terminator

When culture is never going to be required, ∑-MM™ rapidly kills pathogens making the specimen safe, but preserving DNA and RNA for full analysis. Specimens become safe and stable for transport at ambient temperatures. It is effective for viruses, including human influenza, mycobacteria and bacteria. Any nucleases in the specimen are immediately inactivated, ensuring any DNA or RNA is preserved intact for testing. ∑-MM™ can be used with swabs and other specimens.
