The HiVibri-O-Trap Kit (K156) is a Vibrio spp enumeration kit specifically developed for use in aquaculture.

It consists of a sealed trap petri plate with a ready-prepared disc of selective, highly nutritious, and chromogenic medium that will differentiate various Vibrio spp.

The test protocol includes taking a sample via a syringe and applying it to the ready-to-use media. After 24 hours incubation period, the plate is ready to count the colonies manually:

• Vibrio cholerae appear as purple colonies
• Vibrio fluvialis appear as blue colonies
• Vibrio parahaemolyticus appear as green colonies
