Baker Ruskinn Launches New Anaerobic and Microaerophilic Workstations

Baker Ruskinn, global leaders in anaerobic and modified atmosphere solutions for microbiology applications, have launched the new Concept range of workstations, designed to deliver the most reliable and consistent results.

The Concept range has been designed to maximize productivity of systemized anaerobic or microaerophilic incubation; bringing together a host of brand new features that will deliver immediate benefits in the laboratory.

The Concept range provides for the best primary isolation rates of anaerobic and microaerophilic cultures. Made up of four models that vary in size from mid-range workloads to larger batch sizes, the Concept range has been refined to suit the specific needs of a busy laboratory. Featuring Baker Ruskinn’s Ezee Sleeve™ and single plate entry system (SPES™ ) technology, workstations have been ergonomically designed allowing direct-hand access into the chamber while enabling the rapid loading and easy insertion/removal of plates.

Additional benefits of the Concept range include: internal HEPA filtration (standard) providing unrivalled clean air to the work area; enhanced environmental control for real-time measurement and display of temperature and humidity levels; an optional removable Pop-Off™ front cover for easy set up and cleaning; and, fast interlock purge cycle times.

Dan Eagleson, Senior Vice President at Baker Ruskinn said: “This latest range of workstations show how dedicated we are to deliver solutions for our customers that are designed to make them more productive and better assist in achieving the results their work requires, within microbiological laboratories across the world.

“Pride for us comes in delivering equipment that is reliable and tailored toward helping our customers achieve consistent, repeatable results; ultimately helping them to process thousands of important samples, and leading to discoveries, every day.

“We understand the growing pressures on microbiologists and how important it is to have equipment that not only performs, but excels, all day and every day; and we’re confident that the Concept range will deliver these results every single time.”

Anne Hancox MSc CSci FIBMS, Microbiology Quality Lead & Phlebotomy Manager, Harrogate & District NHS Foundation Trust who is a user of the Concept range added: "When purchasing an anaerobic workstation, easy access is a key priority for us. Being able to get the plates in and out of the cabinet in the shortest timeframe, whilst maintaining anaerobic conditions, continues to be a priority in our busy lab. The Baker Ruskinn C400 is an extremely important asset and is crucial to our daily routines.

What makes the Baker Ruskinn Concept C400 perfect for our lab is the fact that it offers single plate access; plus, it is a small and compact cabinet with such a small footprint, it takes up minimal room and has the added benefit of being more efficient than most, using less gas than others we have used before, due to it’s size. However, there is no compromise on the results the C400 produces and we find it does a great job, consistently.”

As a pioneer in developing controlled atmosphere and oxygen regulated solutions, Baker Ruskinn strives to push the boundaries, once again responding to the needs of users, while bringing the latest in technology and user-driven features to a range of products. The Concept Range from Baker Ruskinn, developed by scientists… for scientists.
