Microbiologics has broke ground on a 35,000 square foot building expansion of the company’s corporate headquarters. This marks the second building expansion for the company in the past 5 years. Microbiologics has been a Granite Equity Partners company since 2008.

Microbiologics produces over 1,000 strains of bacteria, fungi, parasites and viruses into easy-to-use formats for microbial quality control testing to support clinical, pharmaceutical, food safety and water laboratories in meeting regulatory standards. The building expansion plans include space to accommodate for increased production capacity, expanded research and development facilities, including a virology laboratory, and additional professional offices. Currently, Microbiologics employs more than 115 people and plans to add another 35 jobs within the year.

“This additional space will be used to accommodate the rapid growth we anticipate over the next 4-5 years,” said Microbiologics Chief Executive Officer, Brad Goskowicz. “We plan to double our size by 2020.” With an extensive distribution network spanning 142 countries globally, Microbiologics receives fifty-percent of their revenue from outside the U.S. “Being a global company allows us to preserve and grow jobs in our community, which is something we are truly proud to be able to do,” added Goskowicz.
