WHO Invites SARS-2-CoV Test Developers to Participate in Evaluation Study
An urgent need for access to standardized and accurate diagnostic kits for SAR-2-CoV was agreed by the World Health Organization (WHO), The Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND) and The Global Research Collaboration for Infectious Disease Preparedness (GloPID-R) at an emergency meeting at WHO's headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland on 12th Feb.
Now an Expression of Interest (EOI) has been issued by FIND, WHO and GloPI-R, seeking kit developers who might be interested in having their assays evaluated using a standardized independent protocol. The results from these evaluation studies will go on to be shared with the global health community to inform SARS-CoV-2 diagnostic testing approaches.
The EOI closes on 26th Feb 2020. Interested parties can apply here
