A virtual-reality learning tool that trains employees in the pharmaceutical industry on GMP has been beta-tested by the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) GMP Inspectorate and adopted for their in-house training.
The Virtuosi® Sterile Manufacturing and Microbiology Series was designed by Quality Executive Partners (QxP) and was launched in September of last year. A team comprised of 25 recognised experts in microbiology, sterile manufacturing, facility design and VR development spent over two years creating high-quality technical content and realistic virtual environments, where learners practise their skills with real-time feedback.
In addition to the MHRA beta-testing, an independent review was performed by Bob Coleman, former FDA national expert on sterile manufacturing facilities.
Series one contains 31 educational episodes, which include 18 VR interactive experiences with a total of 80 hours instruction that is self-paced, includes process checks and knowledge assessments and is customizable for each organization's requirements.
