The Legionella Water Test Kit allows rapid detection of culturable Legionella pneumophila, all serogroups, from 10 CFU/mL in all water samples. Based on patented technology, it provides results in 48 hours instead of 10-14 days in the laboratory. The test works with 2 elements: The Mini-Lab: a pocket laboratory (reusable and compatible with other test kits) One Legionella Water Test Kit which contains the patented reagents that reveal the bacteria. After sampling, the bacteria are enclosed in a portable mini incubator that reproduces laboratory culture conditions. After 48h of incubation time, the result is simple to read and operates via the reading of a strip: 1 line negative, 2 lines positive.

The Coliforms Water Test Kit allows a rapid detection of culturable coliforms bacteria (including E. coli) from 1CFU/ 10 mL in all water samples in 24 hours. The test works with 2 elements: The Mini-Lab: a pocket laboratory (reusable and compatible with other test kits) 1 Coliforms Water Test Kit which contains the reagents that reveal the bacteria. After sampling, the bacteria are enclosed in a portable mini incubator that reproduces laboratory culture conditions. After 24h of incubation time, the result is simple to read and operates via the colouring of the sample: if the sample turns yellow, the test is positive.

The Legio EZ range offers rapid solutions for testing and controlling L. pneumophila concentration on site. Based on patented technology, it detects only the culturable L. pneumophila bacteria of all serogroup in 48 hours only instead of 10-14 days in the laboratory. The culture-based method used ensures reliable results. Two tests are available: Legio EZ Test kit for Hot Water Systems: detects culturable L. pneumophila bacteria of all serogroups at a threshold of 1,000 CFU/L. The Legio EZ-Test kit includes all consumable reagents allowing the testing of any hot water system. Legio EZ Count kit for Air Cooling Towers: detects culturable L. pneumophila bacteria of all serogroups. Provides a semi-quantitative result: less than 1,000 CFU/L, between 1,000 and 100,000 CFU/L or more than 100,000 CFU/L. Compatible with all ACT water types (not dependent upon physical and chemical sample properties).The Legio EZ-Count kit includes all consumable reagents allowing cooling-tower water sampling assay. Both tests are to be used with the Multi-test equipment: a portable multi-test laboratory allowing to perform up to 6 simultaneous tests. Specifically designed to fit industry-testing needs (3 sampling sites for Air Cooling Towers), the equipment features an incubation program and a temperature recorder for optimal tracking.

MICA is a global semi-automated solution for the rapid counting of L. pneumophila in all water samples. Based on patented technology, it detects all culturable L. pneumophila, of all serogroups in 48 hours only, instead of 10-14 days in the laboratory. Using a culture-based method, it provides a result in CFU allowing better standardization of analyses between regulatory and routine/emergency analyses. Process: After sampling, the test is a 3-step process: Filtration of the samples and preparation of the membranes. Culture (48h incubation). During this period, L. pneumophila is the only organism able to assimilate a patented molecule that will be found on the surface of each cell. Washing, marking and automatic counting of L. pneumophila on specific equipment Technology used: The counting is carried out by artificial intelligence which analyzes the automated pictures of the membranes. It allows the rendering of a result in 48 hours corresponding to the exact number of culturable L. pneumophila present on each membrane (quantified in CFU). The result obtained is equivalent to the ISO 11731 standard but with a much lower variability since there is no longer the bias of human manipulation. MICA uses AI technology for automatic recognition of viable and culturable Legionella pneumophila bacteria.

MICA Alicyclobacillus, 3 minutes CFU counting solution

MICA Alicyclobacillus is a semi-automated solution for the rapid detection and counting of Alicyclobacillus in beverages. Based on patented technology, it provides automatic counting of Alicyclobacillus in 3 minutes, after just 24 hours of incubation on BAT agar plates. While using culture and the same process as IFU No. 12:2019 standard method, MICA’s technology allows unmatched rapidity to deliver reliable results from 1 CFU per membrane. MICA Alicyclobacillus is designed specifically to improve productivity and responsiveness on stock rotation management for the beverage industry. Process: Same as IFU No. 12:2019 standard method, with one reagent added between membrane and agar. After sampling, the test is a 3 steps process: Filtration of the sample after thermic shock, as in the traditional IFU No. 12:2019 standard culture method. The only difference is one reagent being added between the membrane and BAT agar. Incubation 24 hrs. Automatic 3 min detection and counting of Alicyclobacillus with MICA equipment and software. The membrane could be re-incubated on BAT Agar for further identification or guaiacol test.
