Better and faster diagnosis of West Nile Virus is now available to Canadians with the appointment of Somagen Diagnostics Inc., as the Canadian distributor of Spectral Diagnostic’s Rapid West Nile Virus Test.

The product allows the diagnosis of an individual patient with suspected WNV infection in less than an hour. At the moment, Spectral’s WNV diagnostic is the only rapid test intended for individual patient by patient application at the time of their presentation.

Other Spectral products include a FDA approved rapid diagnostic for sepsis (the Endotoxin Activity Assay), as well as a range of other biological reagents.
