Conda Chromogenic Agar Detects Three Candida Species on One Plate

Serious infections due to Candida spp. are becoming increasingly common, rapid identification of the Candida spp. causing the infection is essential to aid appropriate treatment.

CONDA has published a brochure about their Candida Chromogenic Agar (1382) , with the presence of chromogenic substrates in Candida Chromogenic Agar the colonies of C.albicans, C.tropicalis and C.krusei produce different colors, so allowing the direct detection of these yeast species on the same plate.
