Plumrose will be First Genevision™ User in USA

Warnex Inc. have announced that Plumrose USA Inc. ('Plumrose'), a major manufacturer of high quality meat products, will begin using Warnex´s revolutionary Genevision food pathogen detection system in its Booneville, Mississippi facility.

Under the terms of the agreement, Plumrose will purchase the Genevision technology and equipment to detect the presence of Salmonella and Listeria in their products. 'Much of our success over the years has been built on the strength of our reputation for providing products of consistently unsurpassed quality,' said Mike Rozzanno, General Manager of Plumrose USA. 'One of the ways we continue to earn this respect is by fostering a spirit of innovation, especially in the area of superior methods of quality assurance. We are excited about the competitive advantages that Genevision brings to our company.'

Genevision, using advanced DNA detection technology, rapidly and easily determines the presence of pathogen bacteria in a given food sample, and represents a significant improvement over traditional microbiology tests that currently require 5 to 7 days to results. Plumrose anticipates this reduced time to results will enhance its quality control systems by enabling the Company to test more often in the production process.

'After a pilot phase at the Mississippi location, Genevision is expected to have an expanded role at all four Plumrose meat processing facilities.' Plumrose is the first food manufacturer in the United States to adopt the Genevision system. Ultimately, Warnex expects to distribute Genevision to customers globally.
