The latest in Mycoplasma Control for real-time PCR
go back to news archives VenorGeM-QP is the latest in Mycoplasma Detection technology. This PCR Probe assay is for accurate and reliable real-time detection and quantification of mycoplasma DNA in various in situ biologicals including cell cultures and virus stocks.
VenorGeM-QP is available use with almost all real-time PCR cyclers, i.e. LightCycler, ABI Prism Machines, MX4000, iCy-cler, SmartCycler, etc.
It offers sensitivity 1000 times greater than fluorescent staining methods (Hoechst stain or DAPI method) and 10 to 100 times more sensitive than ELISA methods.
Incorporating the latest technology of DNA Probes, Venor-GeM-QP offers a double specificity and thus eliminating errant false-positive results.
With one easy-to-follow, step-by-step protocol, all common mycoplasma species, including test strains of the European Pharmacopoeia, can be detected within one hour. VenorGeM-QP allows for direct testing of sample materials that are easily prepared by boiling extraction.
Mycoplasma Elimination Reagent
An innovative method for fast and efficient elimination of mycoplasmas in cell cultures and virus stocks.
Mynox is the first biological reagent that eliminates mycoplasmas by killing them, and not just inhibiting growth.
Mynox is not an antibiotic, and therefore eliminates all drawbacks of standard antibiotic treatments.
