Leeds Medium for Acinetobacter is selective for the isolation and differentiation of Acinetobacter spp. It is recommended for the primary screening of clinical and environmental specimens. MDR (Multiple Drug Resistant) Acinetobacter Medium is a screening method that detects antimicrobial resistant strains of Acinetobacter. This new medium has additional antibiotics added to the Leeds Medium base to further select for MDR Acinetobacter spp. Additional testing is required for definitive identification and final susceptibility reporting.
