EIA Bordetella pertussis detection from Ani Labsystems
go back to news archivesAni Labsystems have launched Bordetella pertussis assays, new generation specific EIAs for the detection of IgG-, IgA- and IgM-class antibodies against B. pertussis in human serum or plasma. These tests allow rapid testing, objective reading and parallel testing with Chlamydia pneumoniae and Mycoplasma pneumoniae EIA assays of Ani Labsystems.
B. pertussis, M. pneumoniae and C. pneumoniae are all responsible for respiratory infections worldwide. Cases of these diseases may range from mild infections to life-threatening conditions. Due to wide variety of infections that can give rise to similar respiratory symptoms, clinical diagnosis of B. pertussis, M. pneumoniae and C. pneumoniae is essential.
Ani Labsystems have developed IgG, IgA and IgM EIA assays for Bordetella pertussis, Chlamydia pneumoniae and Mycoplasma pneumoniae that can be run in parallel as they use similar format, procedure and the same pre-diluted sample. These Ani Labsystems EIA detection kits come with ready to use reagents and can be easily adapted to automats.
The use of whole cell antigen in the Ani Labsystems B. pertussis kits overcomes the pitfalls seen with the use of only one recombinant antigen.
