Environmentally Controlled Walk-In Rooms Offer Total Flexibility

Flexibility is a key benefit of LTE Scientific's walk-in rooms for environmental control. Custom-built to meet any requirements or applications, the large capacity rooms are prefabricated and modular in construction for quick and easy installation or relocation without the need for structural alterations.

An ingenious system of interlocking panels varies the shape and size of the rooms, which are available as singles or suites linked by common dividing walls. All the panels are finished in an attractive white pvc which is corrosion resistant and easily cleaned. Internally, they are fitted with multi-tiered shelving to suit individual needs.

In addition to operating simply as large capacity temperature controlled cabinets, the LTE rooms offer full climatic simulation with humidity and lighting control for temperatures ranging from -20'C to + 70'C. Worldwide climatic zones can be simulated to meet the ICH guidelines on stability testing specified for pharmaceutical products.

A highly efficient air handling system keeps temperature gradients to a minimum, ensuring good air distribution throughout whilst the absence of direct heat conductive paths between the inner and outer panel case also assures good temperature uniformity and prevents condensation problems.

Even tighter performance can be achieved by incorporating LTE's unique ceiling plenum system which provides a more uni- directional vertical airflow through the room. Easy to understand controls and indicators, such as digital electronic temperature control, occupancy alarm indicator, temperature chart recorder and alarms and protection circuits are mounted in a separate console on the front of the cabinet. With a simple computer link-up, data logging can be carried out to provide an overall quality control system. Links can also be made into many Building Management Systems.

Used wherever environmental control is essential, the rooms have also found application in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, electronic and water industries, in food and packaging, botanical research, and in bacteriology.
