Sterile High Volume Microplates Enhance Growth of Bacteria, Yeast & Cell Lines
go back to news archives Porvair Sciences Ltd offer a range of sterile, high volume microplates optimised for large scale, high yield growth of bacteria, yeast and mammalian or insect cell lines. The sterile high volume microplates are available in a choice of well formats (24-, 48- and 96-well) and well volumes from 4ml to 10 ml per well to suit most large scale bacteria, yeast and cell growth applications. All Porvair high-volume microplates are precisely manufactured to SBS/ANSI specifications making them fully compatible with automated liquid handling systems and other robotic sample processing equipment. The plates are manufactured from ultra-pure grade polypropylene that has near zero leachates as well as excellent temperature and chemical resistance. The plate wells are rectangular in shape with a 'v' bottom to optimise sample concentration and recovery. Produced under class 10,000 clean room conditions from ultra-pure grade polypropylene, the high volume plates contain no contaminants that may leach out and affect yeast, bacterial or cell growth. Each pack consists of Porvair Sciences high volume plates is secured within a virgin polymer bag. The pack is then passed through an irradiation procedure to sterilise the plates. Every batch of Porvair Sciences' sterile high volume plates is rigorously tested to validate their contamination-free status ensuring reproducibility and maintaining customer confidence in the yeast, bacteria or cells you grow. |
