BIOTECON Receives AOAC RI for foodproof L. monocytogenes Detection Kit
go back to news archives BIOTECON Diagnostics has successfully completed an AOAC-RI validation for its foodproof® Listeria monocytogenes Detection Kit, 5'Nuclease and the corresponding DNA extraction kit, foodproof® ShortPrep II Kit. This AOAC-RI approval as a Performance Tested MethodSM expands the already broad range of certified foodproof® real-time PCR products. The foodproof® Listeria monocytogenes Detection Kit, 5'Nuclease is a very specific and sensitive test to detect the pathogenic species Listeria monocytogenes. Final results can be obtained in less than 2 hours following the initial sample enrichment of 20 - 48 hours. This AOAC validation was conducted with a broad variety of food and feed categories (e.g. dairy, raw meat, fish and seafood, fruits and fruit juices, eggs and egg products, pet food and others).
