Thermo Scientific Novel Enrichment Broth - Listeria (Product code CM1066 & SR0234) is a unique new selective enrichment broth that eliminates the need for sub-culturing from a pre-enrichment broth, providing a simpler procedure and allowing faster detection of Listeria-positive samples.

Thermo Scientific Chromogenic Listeria Agar (Product code PO5165) is an innovative chromogenic medium that uses colour to improve the isolation, enumeration and presumptive identification of Listeria species and allows the differentiation of pathogenic Listeria monocytogenes and Listeria ivanovii from other Listeria species.

The Thermo Scientific Listeria Rapid Test (Product code FT0401) combines a specially optimised enrichment procedure and an innovative rapid end-point test to detect Listeria spp. within just 43 hours. This highly sensitive and specific test has received AFNOR, AOAC-RI, EMMAS and DanVal approval.

Confirmation of Listeria isolates can be performed quickly using the new Thermo Scientific Listeria Diagnostic Reagents Test Kit (Product code: DR1126), a rapid latex agglutination test for the detection of Listeria spp. from selective culture. Alternatively, the rapid colorimetric test, O.B.I.S. mono (Product code: ID0600) allows the quick differentiation of L. monocytogenes from other Listeria spp., or the self-contained, biochemical-based Microbact™ Listeria Identification System (12L) (Product code: MB1128) provides the definitive identification of pathogenic Listeria species in as little as 4 hours.

The automated Dupont Qualicon BAX® system (that is available from Thermo Scientific in Europe and Australia) uses the latest PCR technology to accurately detect the presence or absence of Listeria monocytogenes and Listeria spp. in food and environmental samples in less than 4 hours.

In addition, Thermo Scientific offers a full range of Listeria enrichment broths and selective media (including the Fraser, Half Fraser, Oxford and Palcam formulations) and, for quality control purposes, the Culti-Loops® range of viable, positive and negative control organisms, including L. monocytogenes ATCC 7644 (Product code: C3970L).
