AmpMedia 666 Powerful Solution for the Enumeration of Butyric Acid Producing Clostridia (BAPC)

AmpMedia 666 Characteristics:

Chromogenic detection principle:
A chromogenic substrate is used, which indicates the growth of BAPC by a colour change from red to yellow.

Selectivity:
With the use of specific inhibitors, the competitive microflora is prevented from growing, thus ensuring selective detection of the cheese spoiling clostridia (Specificity for BAPC > 95%).

Adjustable limit of quantification:
Using a deepwell microplate, MPN format detection levels of < 14 spores/litre can be easily achieved.

Analysis Time:
The use of new media delivers results in as little as 48 hours and is, therefore, up to 5 days faster than traditional methods.

Automation:
The possibility of automatic evaluation via the colour change and result calculation simplifies the automation of the test procedures.

Minimum waste:
The use in a microplate MPN format can reduce laboratory waste by > 70%
