Hygiena's Danièle Sohier Assumes Presidency of AOAC International


Hygiena® is proud to announce that Danièle Sohier, Director of Scientific Affairs, has taken on the prestigious role of President of AOAC International, effective August 2024. This significant appointment underscores Hygiena’s commitment to scientific excellence and leadership in the global food safety and quality sector.

Danièle joined Hygiena in April 2023, bringing over two decades of experience advancing scientific research and public health. Her unparalleled expertise in molecular microbiology, food safety, and method validation has made her an invaluable asset to the company and the broader scientific community.

Danièle’s journey to the presidency of AOAC International is a testament to her dedication to scientific innovation and her influential role in the global standardization of methods. Among her notable industry achievements is the coordination of groundbreaking developments in microbiology, including the first harmonized ISO 16140-part 6/AOAC-OMA validation. Her work earned her two AOAC awards, including the prestigious Award of Method of the Year in 2018. Danièle's contributions have been consistently recognized by her peers, most recently with the AOAC International Fellow Award, a significant honor reflecting her impact on the global stage.
