The BIOMIC V3 Microbiology System (Giles Scientific USA) now automates the reading and interpretation of the Liofilchem (Italy) SensiQuattro Candida EU Panel utilizing color digital imaging technology. The SensiQuattro Candida EU Panel contains 32 wells with 8 desiccated antimycotics at four doubling serial concentrations for susceptibility determination of Candida spp. to antimycotic agents.

BIOMIC V3's digital imaging technology automates the reading, interpretation, and reporting of all Liofilchem microbiology including MIC Test Strips, ID and AST Systems, antibiotic disks, and chromogenic agar. Images are saved in high resolution for future review. Bar code reading and a bi-directional LIS/LIMS interface capability further speeds workflow.

In addition to Liofilchem products, BIOMIC V3 reads a variety of clinical microbiology tests from other AST-ID manufacturers following CLSI, EUCAST, and BSAC guidelines. BIOMIC V3 serves as a primary or secondary AST-ID system for microbiology laboratories of all sizes and setups.
