The BIOMIC V3 Microbiology System and MALDI-TOF Mass Spec Systems including the MALDI Biotyper (Bruker) and VITEK MS (bioMerieux) provide an automated AST & ID solution for the microbiology lab.Identification results can be sent from MALDI to BIOMIC V3 via LIS/LIMS. BIOMIC V3 automates AST tests including: antibiotic disk diffusion following CLSI/EUCAST/BSAC guidelines, Etest (bioMerieux), MIC Test Strips (Liofilchem) and 96-well microtiter plates.
BIOMIC V3 also automates ID panels including API® (bioMerieux), RapID™ (Remel), BBL™ Crystal™ (BD), Liofilchem® ID Systems, colony count and chromogenic agar plates. Bar code entry and a 2-Way LIS/LIMS interface further speeds lab workflow.
BIOMIC V3 serves as a primary or secondary AST-ID system for microbiology laboratories.
