Short Webinar: The New EN 17141 and its Implications for Culture-Based Active Air Sampling
EN 17141, a new European standard for biocontamination control, has recently come into effect in Europe.
It replaces ISO 14698 Parts 1 and 2 from 2003, the previous standard for biocontamination control in cleanrooms and associated controlled environments. This change only affects Europe, so ISO 14698 remains applicable elsewhere.
In our short webinar, our expert Dr Anne-Grit Klees highlights the implications of the new standard for active air sampling, as well as the selection and validation of culture-based active air sampling devices.
She discusses the similarities and differences between the new EN 17141 and ISO 14698 and explains the requirements and methods to validate devices according to the new standard.
Furthermore, there is a focus on the physical and biological efficiency tests and the effects that result from the new standard.
