Condalab Solutions for Detection of Antibiotic Resistance
Today, the development of resistance by microorganisms to the most common treatments is becoming one of the great challenges for public health.
In these cases, the early detection of these resistances is essential to correctly address the treatment and ensure its effectiveness. The antibiogram, the most widely used method, allows predicting the behavior of certain bacteria to a group of antimicrobials.
But what if we could know directly from the culture whether this resistance is present in the bacteria?
To this end, Condalab now offers:
- CondaChrome Antimicrobial Resistance Series: chromogenic culture media for the detection in culture of the most common resistances (MRSA, VRE, KPC...).
- Condalab culture media: both in dehydrated and ready-to-use form, our culture media are high-quality and easy to read.
- Antibiotic discs and MIC: reagents in discs and strips, which allow to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration of the different antibiotics for conducting antibiograms.
