Symmetric Green is the product series that was created for the quantification of mycotoxins that can be found in grains, cereals, nuts, spices, and other commodities. These lateral flow tests demonstrate increased sensitivity and they have a protocol of just 5 mins. For the extraction step an aqueous buffer is used, while a single extraction can be used for all mycotoxins. The product series includes test kits for the following mycotoxins: Aflatoxin B1, Total Aflatoxins, Deoxynivalenol, Zearalenone, Fumonisin, Ochratoxin, T-2/HT-2.

Symmetric M1 is an innovative lateral flow test that quantifies the Aflatoxin M1 in cow, sheep, goat, and UHT milk. It has a very low Limit of Quantification and a fast protocol of 10 mins. The Symmetric M1 has been validated by ILVO, which stated that the Symmetric Method produces very accurate results, comparable to those of HPLC method.

ProGnosis Biotech also created the quantitative method Symmetric M1 1000, which has a low procedure time of 3 mins and a broad quantification range, adjusted to the US and Asian legislations of the Aflatoxin M1 permitted levels in milk. The test also provides a visual detection option to the users based on the colour intensity of the strips’ bands.
